The Date
The conversation must be kept light and instil as much humour as you can in the conversation. You should have fun in your date. Discuss general topics involving work, hobbies and other habits. Avoid controversial subjects like religion and politics. His or her views on politics may not match with your views. Avoid topics which will give you a chance to argue and spoil the mood of the date. Keep all such topics out of your conversation. The idea is to have a pleasant time.
Be generous with your compliments but not overly generous that it appears to be a lie or a form of flattery.
For all the girls, as difficult as it might be to be yourself on your first dating experience, try to retain as much intelligence as possible and don’t act dumb. Be an active part of the conversation by asking questions and responding smartly. Remember not to sound like as though you are answering questions to enter a job. Enquiring about the other person’s family is a sign of being pleasant. Smile often and be nice. Don’t let your nervousness show and be confident. Body language is very important and even without knowing you may be sending signals. So just be aware of your surroundings and enjoy the date.
